Book introduction

　Schelling is one of the leading philosophers in German Idealism. Renowned for his transcendental idealism and nature philosophy, his thought has recently been reevaluated worldwide. However, what Schelling, who lived through the revolutionary period when the state and religion were challenged, consistently investigated was actually the political philosophy against politics. In other words, in the form of “anti-politics [Antipolitik]”. This work is an achievement dedicated to its thesis, incorporating the latest Schelling-scholarship and developing themes such as “Freedom,” “Faith and Knowledge,” and “kenosis”.
