2025.10.28
On September 26-27, IFOHS coordinated the international symposium What is well-being in East Asia? — Interdisciplinary and Cultural Perspectives” at the Inamori Foundation Memorial Hall.
The symposium invited distinguished scholars from diverse fields (e.g., psychology, sociology, anthropology), and various East Asian societies (Japan, Taiwan, Korea, and Hong Kong) to explore the diverse interpretations of well-being and the social processes through which these notions are shaped, deepening mutual understanding and generating new insights.
Across the two days, approximately 80 participants attended, engaging in lively discussions on each topic.
