An essay titled “The Hope of Open Interdependence” written by IFOHS Director Uchida has been published in the October 2025 issue of VOICE, a Japanese magazine that discusses topics related to politics, economics, international relations, science, business, and education to envision the future of Japan and the world.

The October issue features a special section on new theories of happiness in the Reiwa Era, featuring essays by both Prof. Uchida and Prof. Emeritus Keishi Saeki (Kyoto University), who served as a Specially Appointed Professor at our institute until June this year.
