The newest book by IFOHS-affiliated Professor Shinobu Kitayama (University of Michigan, United States), titled “Different Cultures, Different Minds? — Adventures in Cultural Psychology” is now available at publisher Iwanami Shinsho.

Professor Kitayama shared his thoughts about the book:

“Cultural psychology is a field of study that contemplates the diversity of the human mind from the perspective of: ‘if cultures differ, so do minds.’ In this book, I introduce how culture shapes people’s emotions and values, drawing on the latest research conducted in regions such as Africa, Asia, the United States, and Europe.
