An article featuring a dialogue between IFOHS Associate Professor Takahiko Kameyama and Professor Yoshiyuki Tomishima (Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University) has been published in the July 2025 issue of Art Collectors, a monthly magazine for art enthusiasts and collectors in Japan (No.196, June 25^th). Titled “Are Decorations in Buddhist Art Merely Decorative?”, the conversation explores the meaning and function of Buddhist art found in temples throughout Japan, examining it from various perspectives rooted in philosophy and cultural theory.
